Here are just a couple things for you to know…

~Please call the office when your child will not be at school to clear the absence and try to be at school on time.

~Math Homework goes home every Monday-Thursday in the yellow math folder. Please return it completed the next day; I will try to have the previous day's math homework graded to see how great your student did!
~Reading Homework: The student must read the book in the bag and any other book for at least 10 min that day, then have the paper signed by a parent and return it the next day to the teacher. If book is ever lost or really damaged, please pay the office $3.00 to replace the book.
~Reading Class- In my class, I group my students according to their level, to ensure we meet each student's needs. I continually monitor the students to see how each of them are in the class so I can continually move them if needed.
~No toys allowed in my classroom or at recess. I have equipment that the students are free to borrow. We've had many lost toys/broken toys before that I just don't want to have my students experience that.
~Having your student memorize their phone number and lunch numbers would be helpful if ever they need to call home or have lunch. However the office of course has the number if the child does need it. I will be sending their lunch number home so they may memorize it making it easier for them to carry their lunch.
